Luka Lenič has been Slovenia’s best chess player since 2012. In the junior categories, he shone in 2002 with the title of world champion under 14. In total, he won 4 medals at the European and World Youth Championships. He has been a member of the A national team since 2007. He achieved a high performance rating at the Olympics in Baku (2740) and at the Team EC in Crete (2747). In 2017, he qualified for the World Cup and a year later he was 83rd in the world rankings.
